    Amy as HRD manager will create a new calendar that separate from the main calendar. To do this, Amy will perform these action: - Click on the "+" next to "Other calendars" - Then select "Create new calendar". - Name it "Employee Leave Requests"

  4. Share the Calendar

    Amy will share this calendar with her team members. To do it, just click on the three dots next to your new calendar's name and select "Settings and sharing" to add staffs' email addresses to share the calendar with them.

  5. Create Leave Request Events

    If Bob, as a staff/employee wants to request leave, he can create an event on this calendar. These are the format that need to be submitted:

    • The event title should be something like "[Employee's Name] - Leave Request".
    • The event should span the dates of the requested leave.
    • Add relevant details to the event description, such as the type of leave (sick, vacation, personal, etc.), substitution/temporary person in charge, and any additional information necessary for approval.
  6. Review for Approval

    As a manager, Amy can view these requests directly in the calendar. She can click on each event to see the details and make a decision.

    Amy can reviews the request form/event to ensure it aligns with the company time off standard and checks with pic to confirm there is a person in charge during leaving.

  7. Respond to Requests

    • Once Amy has made a decision, she can respond directly to the event.
    • Amy will use the "Add guests" feature to add the requesting employee's email (if it's not already added), then select "Yes", "No", or "Maybe" to indicate the response. Amy can also add a note with any comments.
  8. Manage Approved Leave

    For approved leave requests, Amy will change the event name to "[Employee's Name] - Approved Leave" for easy reference.
