How to Create and Manage a Task

Welcome to the Sanka Help Center! In this guide, we will cover the process of creating and managing tasks in Sanka's Employee Management module.

Tasks are essential for assigning work, tracking progress, and ensuring that employees meet deadlines.

By following these step-by-step instructions, you'll learn how to create, assign, and manage tasks for registered employees in Sanka.

Process to access and create a Task

1: Login to Sanka. On the left sidebar, navigate to the Employee Management Module and select the Tasks object.

2: Once you clicked the Tasks object, the object tab will change to Project. This action is aimed to group the tasks based on certain project for easier monitoring. Click the New button in the top-right corner to create a new task.

3: A task creation detailed page will open where you can fill the requirement details.

4: First, provide a brief and descriptive name for the task. Then select a user to be assigned for the task. You can add multiple users for each task.

5: Set the date for when the task should be started.

6: Set a deadline for when the task should be completed.

7: Add detailed information about the task, including specific instructions or objectives. You can adjust the text design from the editing bar.

8: Once all fields are completed, review the information and click Create to save the task.

9: Your created task will be recorded at the system and displayed on the table.

Process to edit and update a Task

10: If you need to modify a task, click on the task’s ID to open its details page.

11: On the details page, you can edit task details, change assignee, or adjust task status. Once changes are made, click the Update button.

Process to archive a Task

12: Click the box of the Task record you want to archive, and select Archive button.

13: Archived Task record will be grayed out.

14: If you want to unarchive it, click the box of the relevant Task record and select Activate button.

15: Activated Task record will no longer be grayed out and will return to their normal display.

Process to export Task record

16: To export task data for performance analysis or reporting, click the Export button located on the Project page.

17: Select the task details you want to include in the export file. Once you’ve selected the desired data, click Download to save the file to your device in CSV format.
